Welcome

Welcome to the British College of Dermatology (BCD) Education Hub. This site offers a range of dermatology courses and events for healthcare professionals. We have a small range of courses anybody can access without charge. If you are a member of the British Association of Dermatologists (BAD) you will have access to a wider range of courses free of charge or generously subsidised as part of your member benefits. If you are not a BAD member you can still sign in or sign up and pay for the individual courses you're interested in via a secure payment process.

We cater for a wide range of healthcare professionals and provide evidence-based, online training for dermatologists of all grades as well as trainees, nurses, GPs, pharmacists, physician associates and medical students.

Watch our welcome tour to start your learning journey.

BAD members

BAD members can access our interactive self-paced learning at no extra charge.  Our live events and recordings of those are offered to members at a subsidised rate. To access the content for free, please click “Sign in or sign up” and use the username and password you would use to access your BAD portal page. You can then enrol and complete any of our online courses or register to attend training events at a subsidised price.

Non-Members

We welcome all healthcare professionals regardless of your membership status with the BAD. To access our courses, click “Sign in or sign up” to log in or register for the Education Hub.

As you browse our course library you can click “Buy now” and purchase one or more courses. Click the cart on the top right side of the navigation bar and complete your purchase. We use a secure payment portal called Stripe to manage all credit and debit card payments and you will be emailed a receipt once your payment has been approved.

Once you have completed your purchase, click “My Courses” to see all the courses you have enrolled onto.

Students

We’re proud to support dermatologists of the future. We have a collection of free courses and educational resources designed to help you in your early years of medical studies. To access this content, first “Sign in or sign up”, then click “Course Library” and “Students”. Browse the catalogue and click to enrol to start learning.

Course progress tracking

All the courses you have enrolled in are on the “My Courses” page. If you start a course and don’t finish it, the Education Hub will remember where you left off enabling you to complete courses at your own pace.

When you next launch the course, you will be asked if you want to resume where you left off. If you forget to complete the course, the hub will send an email reminder prompting you to complete any courses you have started but not finished.

Certificates

All completed courses will generate a certificate. This will automatically be emailed within an hour of completing the course. If you don’t receive this, we suggest you check your junk email folder or you can “Sign in or sign up” to the Education Hub, click your initials on the top right of the navigation bar and click “Certificates” to download your certificates.

All certificates can be added to the Royal College of Physicians CPD diary as a self-certified entry.
